Takeru Sato to Star in Live Action Ajin Film

Actor also reunites with Rurouni Kenshin stunt team for upcoming film.

Takeru Sato, who played Ryotaro / Den-O in Kamen Rider Den-O and Kenshin in the 2012-2014 Rurouni Kenshin movies, will star in a live action film series based on Gamon Sakurai’s Ajin: Demi-Human manga series.

Ajin has already been adapted into an anime series, currently in its second season. The series follows a student named Kei Nagao, who is an immortal “Ajin”. After discovering he is an Ajin, Kei becomes a wanted man as Ajin are hunted down in this world.

Katsuyuki Motohiro (Bayside Shakedown, Psycho-Pass anime) will direct while the stunt team responsible for Rurouni Kenshin will also work on the film.

Ajin is set to premiere next year in Japan.
