Rurouni Kenshin: The Final and The Beginning First Teasers Drop

The new teasers show a glimpse at the return of Kamen Rider Den-O’s Takeru Sato as Kenshin Himura

Warner Bros. Japan has revealed the first footage from the two upcoming Rurouni Kenshin movies this summer, entitled Rurouni Kenshin: The Final and Rurouni Kenshin: The Beginning, which you can check out below. Takeru Satoh returns as Kenshin Himura facing off against the newly cast Mackenyu as Enishi Yukishiro. Rounding out the returning cast are Emi Takei as Kaoru Kamiya, Munetaka Aoki as Sanosuke Sagara, Yu Aoi as Megumi Takani and Yosuke Eguchi as Saitoh Hajime. The story of the two movies is described as follows:

In the past, Kenshin Himura was afraid of being a “human sword”, but with the dawn of a new era, he lived a calm life with a reverse bladed sword. Kenshin, who had battled in an unprecedented struggle to stop the crazed Shishio Makoto’s plan to overthrow Japan, now lives peacefully at the Kamiya Dojo. However, a sudden series of attacks are launched in central Tokyo, threatening Kenshin and the lives of his friends. Who is it behind it all? For what purpose? It is largely related to his past as an assassin that has never been revealed, and leads to the mystery of a cross that never disappears. Then, we will continue to “Rurouni Kenshin-The Final Chapter: The Beginning,” which approaches the mystery of the cross-shaped scar that has never been told. Make a path through the two eras of both the end of the uprising and the new era after the Meiji Restoration! The highest climax in history of “Rurouni Kenshin” will be told through two films. Everything about “Rurouni Kenshin” is here.
