TOHO announced the Great Godzilla Special Effects Kingdom ~ All Godzillas Gather!! ~ in Tokyo Dome City exhibition will be open from May 15 to June 27.
On April 15, 2021, TOHO announced a new Godzilla-themed exhibition to be held in Tokyo, Japan. Called Great Godzilla Special Effects Kingdom ~ All Godzillas Gather!! ~ in Tokyo Dome City, this is to be an “evolution” from previous events, namely the Great Godzilla Special Effects Exhibition that was held in 2014. Commemorating the releases of Godzilla vs. Kong and Godzilla Singular Point, this exhibition serves to introduce and guide fans, new and old, through the dynamic history of the Godzilla franchise.
There are three primary exhibition zones featured within the Great Godzilla Special Effects Kingdom ~ All Godzillas Gather!! The Godzilla Chronicle Corner will serve to introduce the individual films, largely featuring posters of the films and other unspecified pieces. Meanwhile, the Special Effects Material Exhibit Corner will display an assortment of props and other production materials seen in the films. Finally, the Big Diorama Corner will feature a diorama display reproducing a scene from the films. Furthermore, an additional zone for Chibi Godzilla and the Godziban puppet show is being introduced for younger attendees.
Tickets for this exhibition went on sale April 17th at 10:00 a.m. JST time and will remain for sale until June 27 at 7:00 p.m. Admission costs range from 500 yen for young children, to 1,800 yen for adults (tax included). Attendance is free for children under the age of 3. Held in the Tokyo Dome City Galley AaMo, the Great Godzilla Special Effects Kingdom ~ All Godzillas Gather!! will be open from Saturday, May 15 to Sunday, June 27.
