The premise and release date for chapter 1 of the upcoming manga starring Kamen Rider Buster has been revealed by Toei.
Following last month’s announcement of a manga starring Kamen Rider Buster, Toei has now revealed details regarding chapter 1 of the serialized manga. Releasing later this month, chapter 1 will begin telling the story of how Ryo Ogami became the Buster fans know in Kamen Rider Saber.
The first chapter was written by Kaori Kaneko, drawn by Keitaro Kumatsuki, and it’s being published by Side Ranch. Toei provided the following summary of Chapter 1: Story of Strongest Youth:
“Ryo Ogami is the strongest brawler who admires the lowlife of the Showa era. However, he is still no match for Haruka Kiritani, the student council president and his childhood friend. There are hints of love in the air… One day while he’s out to buy his favorite drink, it’s sold out, and he notices a rectangular object underneath a vending machine. It’s the Genbu Shinwa Wonder RideBook.”
In Kamen Rider Saber, Ryo Ogami (played by Yuki Ikushima) is a proud father to his son, Sora. Together with the Sword of Logos, he fights as Kamen Rider Buster by transforming with the Genbu Shinwa Wonder RideBook and the holy sword, Dogouken Gekido. Ikushima provided a comment on the upcoming manga release:
“Kamen Rider Buster/Ryo Ogami has been made into a comic! (applause)
I got to read a little… and I’m fired up for it, haha!
As to be expected, the artist kept the tone and wrapped the story up beautifully.
But the really important part is… how Ryo met his wife! This will uncover the mystery behind Mrs Ogami, Sora’s mother.
Hmm, is this really how they met?
Ah, because this is how he became the strongest swordsman, you can get excited to see Ryo Ogami’s roots drawn out.
If you’re not part of the TTFC (Toei Tokusatsu Fan Club) yet, I’d love it if you took this opportunity to join and read the manga! Keep an eye out because the comic’s releasing soon!”
Chapter 1 of the Kamen Rider Buster manga will be available on the TTFC app on February 28th at 10 am (JST).
