The popular Fukuoka-based tokusatsu hero show, Dogengers, will air its second season starting in April 2021.
Dogengers, which aired from April 12, 2020 to June 28, 2020, became a surprise hit among tokusatsu fans around the world. Directed by Fumie Arakawa, the story of season one starts when Aku no Himitsu Kesha, under the command of president Yabai Kamen, take over Fukuoka. With help from Ogaman, Takeru Tanaka gathers the heroes of Kyushu and unite them against the forces of evil.
The Tokusatsu Network conducted an interview with the heroes and director of the series shortly after season one finished airing in 2020 to discuss how the project came about and their experiences on set.
Season 2 of Dogengers, titled Dogengers ~Nice Buddy~, will begin airing on April 11, 2021. The show will broadcast in Tokyo on Tokyo MX.
