Kamen Rider W‘s Tomomi Itano announced her marriage to Keiji Takahashi of the Tokyo Yakult Swallows on January 5th.
On January 5th, Tomomi Itano, who played Queen in Kamen Rider W and was formerly a member of the idol group AKB48, announced her marriage to baseball player Keiji Takahashi of the Tokyo Yakult Swallows.
According to several related parties, the couple met in the spring of 2019 through a mutual friend and have been dating for a year and a half. They presented their marriage certificate, signed by Tokyo Yakult Swallows manager Shingo Takatsu and AKB48 producer Yasushi Akimoto, to a city hall earlier in the day.
A message on Itano’s Instagram reads:
“To all of my supporters,
I have an important announcement to make.
I’m very apprehensive about sharing this, but today, January 5th, I have entered the family registry of Keiji Takahashi of the Tokyo Yakult Swallows.
After meeting through a mutual friend, a year and a half of serious dating has brought us to marriage.
With his boyish innocence and honest personality, his straightforwardness, and how he always approaches me seriously, it felt natural to want to be with him from now on. There’s nothing that can keep me from supporting him.
His attitude towards his work encourages me every day, so I want to be able to support him whole-heartedly too.
As husband and wife, I think that I can be his best support in the world. Supporting each other the most closely and growing together, I want to make a warm family.
Though we’re both just starting out and won’t be perfect with this, I would be grateful if you would kindly watch over us.
With the number of people infected by corona increasing and concern filling the world, I was unsure about announcing this, but I wanted to share this news with everyone and to show how I am doing.
Please continue to guide and encourage me from here on.”
