Monsterpalooza 2017 adds GARO show runner and director, Keita Amemiya and kaiju suit actor, Mizuho Yoshida as special guests.

Monsterpalooza is a convention centered around celebrating the art monsters and movie magic. Many guests from all facets of monster movie making will be attendance to meet with fans. Recently, two special guests involved in tokusatsu were announced: Keita Amemiya and Mizuho Yoshida.

A well-known director and character designer, Keita Amemiya has lent his creativity to several works in the tokusatsu genre over the years. Amemiya has done everything from creating characters for shows such as Kamen Rider Black and Tokkei Winspector to directing series and movies such as Chojin Sentai Jetman, Kamen Rider J, and Mechanical Violator Hakaider. He has also created original work such as Tekkouki Mikazuki and the long-running GARO franchise.

Mizuho Yoshida has an accomplished career in suit acting for both films and video games. Some of Yoshida’s work in the tokusatsu genre include Zeiram in Zeiram and Zeiram 2, Legion in Gamera 2: Attack of Legion, Godzilla in Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack, and Zedus in Gamera the Brave.

Monsterpalooza will be held at the Pasadena Convention Center in Pasadena, CA. The convention will run from April 7th – 9th, 2017.
