The Power Rangers movie’s golden villain has made his debut in the latest advertisement demo of the Interactive Megazord toy.
The Power Rangers Facebook and Twitter feeds have posted an all new advertisement of the Interactive Megazord toy from the upcoming Saban’s Power Rangers feature film, marking our first look at what could very well be Goldar from the film.
In the demonstrative video, the Megazord is fighting a large, melted looking golden creature vaguely shaped like the actual Megazord itself. Fans have speculated that this is the movie’s design of Goldar or at least a large creation of Goldar’s to combat the Megazord. Neither Saban Brands, Lionsgate, or Bandai have confirmed who or what the toy actually is.
The toy seems to be in scale with the Interactive Megazord, sporting similar levels of articulation with multiple action features. Hinges can be seen on the shoulders of the toy, possibly hiding another action feature, or a cockpit for small villain figures, much like the Power Rangers that come with the Interactive Megazord.
As always, more information and confirmation on the identity of both the character and the toy will be revealed in the coming weeks as the movie’s premiere draws closer and closer.
Power Rangers stars Bryan Cranston as Zordon, Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa, Dacre Montgomery as Jason, RJ Cyler as Billy, Naomi Scott as Kimberly, Becky G as Trini, and Ludi Lin as Zack. The film is directed by Project Almanac’s Dean Isrealite. Power Rangers is set to release on March 24th, 2017.
