Shinji Nishikawa Joins Godzilla Alums Appearing at Monsterpalooza

Monster designer, Shinji Nishikawa is coming stateside for the Monsterpalooza horror convention.

Shinji Nishikawa is an anime director and monster designer who has worked on many of Toho’s tokusatsu productions. He has done design work for almost every Heisei and Millenium Godzilla film, including Godzilla vs. Biollante and Godzilla: Final Wars, and for the television series Chouseishin GranSazer.

Nishikawa isn’t the only Godzilla veteran attending Monsterpalooza. Haruo Nakajima, the original Godzilla suit actor; Keizo Murase creature sculptor and fabricator; and Shinichi Wakasa, model maker and makeup artist, will also be in attendance.

Monsterpalooza will be held on April 22-24 at the Pasadena Convention Center. One day’s attendance costs $30, and a three-day ticket costs $70. Tickets can be purchased here.
