An In Depth Examination of Kamen Riders

A lot of people are saying that Gaim is the best Rider, but. No.

Gaim is an okay Rider, if you like fruits. But if you’re into nuts and – really, why else would you be here? There are only four Riders you can call the best. Forget Strawberry #1, the best Riders are the nut Riders.

First are the Nut Brothers. They’re cool guys. They broke up though. Hase’s on vacation right now. He’ll probably be back. Their Rider names are Kamen Rider グリドン and Masked Rider BLACK Shadow.

Then we have the other Nut Riders. They’re Knuckles the Echidna and Bravo (bear stearns). They do cool things too but they aren’t in the show as much.

I realize this article is tagged “April Fools”, but I thought I’d point out:

-Guridon is an acorn (nut)
-Kurokage is a Pine Cone (strobilus or cone)
-Knuckles is a Walnut (botanically does not qualify as a nut, but accepted as a culinary nut)
-Bravo is a Durian (Fruit)

Also, the only echidna which exist in nature that I know of are the egg-laying mammal of Australia, also known as the spiny anteater or a group of moray of the genus “echidna”.

The only “Bear Stearns” that I know of is an investment banking firm.

  To help alleviate your confusion on certain points: The Kamen Rider Knuckles and Bravo joke names are actually references to other media.
  
  The “Knuckles the Echidna” thing is a reference to, well, Knuckles the Echidna, a character in the Sonic the Hedgehog video game series and quite possibly the most well known echidna in pop culture…by merit of being one of the only ones IN pop culture. The Sonic series is very popular in the United States, the UK, Latin America, Russia, etc…but not as much in Japan, its country of origin.
  
  “Bravo (Bear Stearns)” is not actually a reference to the investment banking firm, but a reference to Bear Stearns Bravo, an online game. The game is particularly notable because unorthodox promotional efforts were used for it, seemingly unrelated to the product: a Youtube channel called “Pronunciation Book” which just had English pronunciations of words before devolving into a countdown and a Twitter account called “Horse_ebooks”, an account that only posted out of context bizarre disjointed tweets. Even before the countdown for Pronunciation Book started, people got involved with analyzing the account due to believing it to be marketing for something (they were correct). People were rather angry about Horse_ebooks being involved with the promotion of Bear Stearns Bravo because people didn’t make the same conclusions as the people paying attention to Pronunciation Book did. It got its own following too. It started a whole lot of other twitters that tried to emulate the formula (like our very own Rider_ebooks). More obscure of a reference than Knuckles the Echidna.
