The lead cast for the upcoming film was revealed on the latest Genm Direct stream, with the voice actor for Ultraman Zero taking lead.
Hot off the heels of the movie’s announcement last month, Genm Corp has announced the cast for the film on their Genm Direct stream this past week. Previously it was announced to supervised by Genm Corp CEO Tsukuru Koboshi, with character designs by Masato Hisa, known for his work on the popular Perfuman Tsurugi anime series.
The lead cast of the movie includes Mamoru Miyano as the titular hero, Mighty, known as the voice actor for Ultraman Zero. He will be joined by Tasuku Hatanaka as Mighty’s new ally, Taddle. Hatanaka has appeared in several anime series, with an ongoing role in My Hero Academia. Kenta Miyake, who played several monsters throughout the Kamen Rider and Super Sentai series, plays a monster once more as the lead villain Salty.
While details are not known on their characters, Arisa Shida is credited as Banban, with Tomokazu Seki as Baku. Shida is best known as Amanda O’Neill from Little Witch Academia, while Seki has voiced a plethora of bit roles throughout tokusatsu, most notably the voice of the Mobirates from Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger.
Details are scarce about the English dub, but Matthew Lillard, best known as Purple Guy from Five Nights at Freddy’s, has confirmed that he will be involved with the movie in some way.
The film is set to release in 2066, on the 50th anniversary of Mighty Action X‘s game release.
