Shin Ultraman To See Additional International Releases

Shin Ultraman will see additional international releases, with director Shinji Higuchi now attending the two North American film festivals.


It has been announced that Shin Ultraman will see additional international releases for the global audience. Following its announcement to premiere at the Fantasia Film Festival in Montreal, Canada, Shin Ultraman will premiere at two additional film festivals this coming July. In the United States, it will be a featured film during the New York Asian Film Festival, which is taking place between July 15- July 31. It will also premiere at the Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival in Neuchatel, Switzerland, which is taking place between July 1 – July 9.

In addition to the added international releases, Director Shinji Higuchi will also be in attendance at both the Fantasia Film Festival and the New York Asian Film Festival. Higuchi will be on stage during the screening of Shin Ultraman to speak on his thoughts on the film. As of June 30, 2022, Film at Lincoln Center provided updates on when Shin Ultraman will premiere at the New York Asian Film Festival. The film will premiere on July 23 at 1:00 pm at the Walter Reade Theatre. As a Q&A with Shinji Higuchi and Tomoya Nishino is included, premium pricing for this showing is applied, at $25 USD for general admission, and Membership pricing is at $20 USD. Students, seniors, and persons with disabilities will also have the discounted price of $20 USD for admission. Tickets can be purchased at the Shin Ultraman page at the Film At Lincoln Center website.

Tickets for the New York Asian Film Festival will go on sale July 1st at noon EST, and general admission tickets are $15 USD (Not applied to the Shin Ultraman showing). Tickets for the Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival are currently available for purchase, and available options can be seen on the ticketing page of the official NIFFF website.
