FUUTO PI Anime Series Announces Voice Cast
The upcoming anime adaptation of the Fuuto PI manga announces voice cast along with a summer 2022 release.
The official Kamen Rider website has revealed the cast for the upcoming FUUTO PI anime adaptation as well as a brief teaser of what the animation for the show will look like. The anime, which is adapted from the serialized manga in Shogakukan’s Big Comic Spirits publication will debut on the U-NEXT streaming service as well as on TOKYO MX starting this August. Taking place after the events of Kamen Rider W Returns: Kamen Rider Accel, FUUTO PI follows a new case that begin when Shotaro encounters Tokime, a girl with no memory who is being targeted by Dopants. After saving her life, Tokime joins the Narumi Detective Agency as their new assistant. As more cases unfold, Shotaro and Philip begin to uncover Tokime’s connection towards the elusive Yukiji Bando. The cast for the show is as follows:
- Shotaro Hidari – Yoshimasa Hosoya (Tokoyami in My Hero Academia, Joe in Megalobox)
- Philip – Kouki Uchiyama (Desast in Kamen Rider Saber, Akira in Devilman Crybaby, Yuri in Yuri On Ice)
- Ryu Terui – Makoto Furukawa (Saitama in One Punch Man, Hatsuharu in Fruits Basket)
- Akiko Narumi – Mikako Komatsu (Maki Zenin in Jujustu Kaisen, Maki Gamo in Don’t Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro)
- Tokime – Akira Sekine (Akira Kazama in Street Fighter V, Ritsuka Fujimaru in Fate/Grand Carnival)
- Yukiji Bando – Daisuke Ono (Teddy Imagin in Kamen Rider Den-O, Jotaro Kujo in JoJo’s Bizzare Adventure)
The voice actors for Shotaro, Philip, Akiko and Terui are all reprising their roles from the Kamen Rider: Memory of Heroez video game released in 2020 for the Nintendo Switch and the PS4. To promote the anime, the Toei Tokusatsu Official YouTube Channel in Japan will begin hosting two episodes of Kamen Rider W each week starting February 26. Funimation previously announced in April of last year that they will distribute the anime in North America.
The first two episodes of Kamen Rider W are available for free with English subtitles on the Toei Tokusatsu YouTube Channel. You can check out the first teaser for the anime in the player below.
