V-Cinext “Kamen Rider OOO 10th” Revealed at TIFF

During a talk event at this year’s Tokyo International Film Festival featuring the cast of Kamen Rider OOO, a trailer was shown revealing v-cinext Kamen Rider OOO 10th: Revival of the Core Medals.

In the year 2021 C.E., the world is wrapped in chaos and fear. The Kamen Rider OOO from 800 years ago has returned by crossing time. With humanity on the verge of extinction, the traveling Eiji Hino makes his return. Shintaro Goto, Akira Date, and Hina Izumi are part of a resistance group fighting back. Will a tomorrow come where they can meet Ankh again…?

Tokyo International Film Festival

On November 5, a sudden livestream event was held at Tokyo International Festival (TIFF) regarding an announcement related to Kamen Rider OOO, 2010-2011’s Kamen Rider series. This talk event featured four cast members from the series: Shu Watanabe (Eiji Hino), Ryosuke Miura (Ankh), Riho Takada (Hina Izumi), and Asaya Kimijima (Shintaro Goto). This event also gave viewers in-person and watching through YouTube the first look at the trailer of V-Cinext Kamen Rider OOO 10th: Revival of the Core Medals.

For those who have seen Kamen Rider OOO, the trailer was full of familiar faces, including Takashi Ukaji (Kousei Kougami), Hiroaki Iwanaga (Akira Date), Mayuko Arisue (Erika Satonaka), and Marie Kai (Chiyoko Shiraishi). Several new suits/forms can also be seen in the trailer, most notably Kamen Rider OOO Tajadol Combo Eternity.

After the trailer was played, Watanabe said to the audience and viewers, “You’ve been waiting ten years since the end of the broadcast. We have also been moving forward in our acting careers, dreaming of a tomorrow where we can meet Ankh again. Thus it is with great honor that we are able to announce this new movie.” He continued, “This movie is set ten years after the final episode. This is Eiji and Ankh’s final destination. Please look forward to the continuation of their stories when it reaches theaters in Spring 2022.”

Miura said, “Thanks to the power of the staff and the wonderful cast members, I went into filming feeling even in a small way that I had traveled back ten years.”

“As we progressed in our acting careers, Kamen Rider OOO remained in all of our hearts. It’s so touching to be back together after so long,” Watanabe continued. He concluded, “I hope for another day that we can meet again like this, as actors.”

V-Cinext Kamen Rider OOO 10th: Revival of the Core Medals is scheduled for a limited theater screening in Spring 2022 and Blu-ray/DVD releases on August 24, 2022.
