This Week in Tokusatsu Merchandise 1/4/21 – 1/8/21

The first tokusatsu merchandise roundup for 2021 features a new wave of merchandise from Ultraman Orb as well as the Kamen Rider and Super Sentai series. 

To start off 2021, we have various Kamen Rider multi tote bags with adjustable handle sizes. Each tote bags features many pockets for storage convenience. There are two pockets on both sides and two pockets on the inside for storing mobile phones. The length of the handle can be adjusted in size. Each is made of polyester and measures a length of 36.5 cm x width of 29 cm x gusset of 10 cm. The handle measures 30 cm but can be adjusted to a maximum of 56 cm). There are three designs available: Kamen Rider 1 (Tachibana Racing Club), Kamen Rider Faiz (SMART BRAIN), and Kamen Rider Decade.

The Kamen Rider multi tote bags from various Kamen Rider series will go for 3,960 Yen (tax included) each and are scheduled for shipment in March 2021. Preorders are being accepted today.

Next, we have the Kamen Rider x Sangacho x Harold’s Gear “Ichigo KICKS” sneakers. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Kamen Rider, this pair of sneakers is a collectors item worn by adult Rider fans. It is a product that gives top priority to the feelings of adult Rider fans who have the heart of a boy who have been a fan for a long time of 50 years from the start of broadcasting to the present.

The character “Ichi” is featured and the elements that symbolize Kamen Rider No. 1 have been incorporated tightly. It is made of bright green genuine leather reminiscent of a converter rung/chest protector. There are two character lines that symbolize Kamen Rider 1 on the ankle. The red inner is in the image of a muffler. With the greatest respect for the work “Kamen Rider” that has fascinated fans for half a century, the designer of Harold’s Gear, who is full of love for Kamen Rider, designed it, and the excellent craftsmen of Sangacho made it into a shape. Kamen Rider still points to courage and hope as the world sinks in the dark due to the coronavirus. The sneakers come in Japanese sizes: 24.5, 25.5, 26.5, 27.5, and 28.5cm. The upper is made of leather (cowhide), and cotton while the midsole is made of EVA  and the outsole is made of rubber.

The Kamen Rider x Sangacho x Harold’s Gear “Ichigo KICKS” sneakers from the original Kamen Rider will go for 29,700 Yen (tax included) and is scheduled for shipment in April 2021. Preorders are being accepted today.

Traveling on the DenLiner, we have the Kamen Rider Den-O mini backpack. It is a sophisticated and reliable mini backpack that features an original crest. The crest has the words “MASKED RIDER DEN-O” as well as the four main Imagin colors and the DenLiner. It is the latest compact design that is lightweight and allows a hands-free style. The bag is made of synthetic leather and polyester. It measures approx. a height of 24 cm x width of 22.5 cm x diameter of 10 cm.

The Kamen Rider Den-O mini backpack from Kamen Rider Den-O will go for 12,100 Yen (tax included) and is scheduled for shipment in April 2021. Preorders are being accepted until January 31, 2021, at 23:00 JST.

Making our way to the windy city of Futo, we have the Kamen Rider W WIND SCALE logo embroidery zip up and pull hoodies. Each is made of 52% cotton for the outer material and 48% polyester for the inner material. Both come in sizes: M (US S), L (US M), and XL (US L).

The Kamen Rider W WIND SCALE logo embroidery zip up hoodie features a simple design with the “WS” on the chest and the WINDSCALE logo embroidery on the back hem.

Following, we have the Kamen Rider W and Kamen Rider OOO Belt Module leather combination necklaces. Each necklace is
a combination necklace that combines parts of Kamen Rider W and OOO’s belt modules and cowhide parts embossed with the logo of the Kamen Rider series. Both are made of alloy/plated cowhide and have a total length of about 50 cm. The charm parts measures about a width of 15 mm x height of 30 mm while the leather part measures approx. width of 30 mm x height of 45 mm.

Going into the Reiwa era, we have the Kamen Rider Zero-One MetsubouJinrai.net long muffler. The muffler features the characters: 滅 (Metsu/Horobi) meaning “destruction” and represents Horobi, 亡 (Bo/Naki) meaning “death” and represents Naki. 迅 (Jin) meaning “quick” and represents Jin, and 雷 (Rai/Ikazuchi) meaning “thunder” and represents Ikazuchi. Put together, 滅亡迅雷 (Metsubou Jinrai), means “thunderclap of death and destruction” or “extinct thunderclap.” The muffler also has the symbol printed on both ends. It is a super long muffler with a length of 262 cm. The model image is folded in half and passed through the hem. The width measures 34.6 cm. It is made of 70% acrylic and 30% wool.

Premium Bandai is also releasing Kamen Rider Series Belt Module tie pins. Each tie features the iconic transformation belt of a main Kamen Rider. Japanese craftsmen carefully hand-craft each item to faithfully reproduce the details of the belt. If you wear these belt tie pins, your coordination will definitely be upgraded. Each is made of alloy and measures approx. width of 4.5 cm x height of 1.5 cm. The tie pins are separated into two waves.

Switching into the Super Sentai world, we first have the Himitsu Sentai Gorenger wrist watch. In addition to the dial design that is designed in the image of the Goranger belts, the in-dial is imaged with the numbers and wings from Akarenger’s helmet forehead. It is a watch packed with the world view of Gorenger in various places such as the pattern that is in the image of Variblune and the in-dial using the EAGLE logo. The case, crown, back cover, and band are made of stainless steel while the
dial and needle are made of brass. The windshield is made of mineral glass and the machine used is the MIYOTA 6P23 (Quartz Made in Japan). The watch body measures 42 mm side × 49 mm vertical. The bandwidth measures 20 mm and the band adaptation size is approximately 13.5 cm to 19.5 cm. It is 10 ATM water resistant.

Fas forward to the Heisei era of Super Sentai, we have the Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger handbags. These versatile, practical, rounded and elegant silhouette bags allow you to carry not only in business situations but also in various other situations. Each is made of synthetic leather. This ring set combines the souls of Kou (Ryusoul Red) and Nada (Gaisoulg). It features the Ryusoulger T-Rex symbol for Kou as well as Gaisoulg’s helmet visor design for Nada. Next to them are swarovski crystals in their respective colors. The rings are both made of plated silver925 and swarovski crystals. Both come in sizes: No. 9, No. 11, No. 13, and No. 15.

This watch features a dial that expresses the crescent moon on the shoulders and chest of the iconic demon. Furthermore, it is a watch that incorporates elements such as the original second hand having his sword motif. The case, crown, and back cover are made of stainless steel while the band is made of cowhide. The dial and hands are made of brass and the windshield is made of mineral glass. The machine used is the MIYOTA 6P23 (Quartz Made in Japan). The watch body measures a width of 38 mm x length of 45 mm. The band width measures 18 mm and the band applicable size is approximately 13.5 cm to 19.5 cm. It is 10 ATM water resistant.
