Kyuranger’s Tetsuji Sakakibara Tests Positive For COVID-19

Tetsuji Sakakibara, known for playing Spada in Uchu Sentai Kyuranger, has tested positive for COVID-19. 

On July 12, it was announced that twelve people in the cast and staff of THE★JINRO are infected with the coronavirus including Yusuke Yamamoto. The cast had performed in the idol stage show from June 30 through July 5 in Shinjuku.

Among the cast who tested positive was Tetsuki Sakakibara, who is remembered by tokusatsu fans as Spada aka Kajiki Yellow in Uchu Sentai Kyuranger. He also runs an English-speaking YouTube channel. Sakakibara had tweeted he was feeling unwell a few days before the announcement was made.

All of the infected individuals are currently getting outpatient treatment and are isolating at home until further notice.
