The former ToQGer star will be the lead in a live-action adaptation of a horror mystery manga.
Jun Shison has been cast to play the protagonist in a live-action adaptation of the manga The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window. He will star opposite Masaki Okada. Shison will play the role of Kousuke Mikado, a young man who can see ghosts, while Okada will play Rihito Hiyakawa, an exorcist.
The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window is a manga serialized in Monthly MAGAZINE BE x BOY starting in 2013. It depicts the adventures of the two protagonists forming a spirit detective duo and their experiences in solving various paranormal cases.
When asked about his thoughts on his role, Shison stated, “I read the original work and felt the infinite possibilities of realizing it. I’ve been an actor for nine years now, but I’ve been doing it with a feeling of challenging myself and I feel that it’s my fate to face this particular challenge in 2020, which is a milestone year for me, at 25 years old. I’m very excited to be working with Mr. Okada and other wonderful people that I’ve already met. I would like to use my best to convey the growing experience of the various conflicts that Mikado goes through. It is going to be amazing. I’m looking forward to it.”
Jun Shison is well known for his role as Right/ToQ 1 from Ressha Sentai ToQGer.
The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window will release in theaters in 2020.
