Suits Japanese Remake to Feature Kamen Rider Actors

FujiTV will debut the Japanese Suits remake on October 8th.

On October 3rd, the supporting cast for the Japanese remake of USA Network’s popular law series “Suits” was announced. Among those announced, there were two names that tokusatsu fans would be familiar with.

The premise of the original plot of Suits followed Mike Ross, a law school dropout with an impeccable memory. He runs into Harvey Specter, one of the higher ups at the prestigious law firm, Pearson Hardman. Seeing his potential, Mike is taken under Harvey’s wing as his newest associate, despite not having any certification or schooling. They fight legal battles together while trying to avoid the legal battle they would face, should anyone discover Mike’s secret.

In the Japanese version, the plot will follow very similarly, with only drug references being cut out of the story due to the cultural differences, and the changing of character names.

The current cast list is as follows:

Oda Yuji – Shogo Kai (Harvey Specter)
Nakajima Yuto – Daiki Suzuki (Mike Ross)
Suzuki Honami – Chika Yukimura (Jessica Pearson)
Imada Mio – Sari Tanimoto (Original Character)
Araki Yuko – Makoto Hijirisawa (Rachel Zane)
Nakamura Anne – Kayako Tamai (Donna Paulsen)
Isomura Hayato – Yusei Tanimoto (Trevor Evans)
Kote Shinya – Mitsugi Kanie (Louis Litt)

Isomura Hayato, playing the best friend to the main character, is previously known as Kamen Rider Necrom/Alain from Kamen Rider Ghost. His character, Yusei, is the best friend to Daiki who is the bad influence that gets him into trouble. He will have a little sister, original to this version, named Sari.

Also a familiar face for Kamen Rider fans is Kote Shinya, he was most recently remembered as Ren Amagasaki/Lovelica from Kamen Rider Ex-Aid, who briefly replaced Kuroto Dan as the head of Genm Corp. He will portray the equivalent of Louis Litt, who is just below Shogo Kai on the totem pole at the law firm and desperately wants to beat him at every turn.

The TV series is set to premiere on October 8th at 9:30PM JST on FujiTV.
