Prolific voice actor behind Ultraman Zero voices tokusatsu hero for NHK’s information program’s special episode on May 5th.

Japan’s national public broadcasting organization NHK has announced that on Children’s Day (May 5th) at 7:30 AM JST, they will be broadcasting a special episode titled “Kikikomi Senshi Shuzaider (Information Gathering Warrior Shuzaider)” on their information program Ohayou Nippon.

This special episode stars prolific voice actor Mamoru Miyano, best known in the tokusatsu community for voicing Ultraman Zero from the Ultra franchise; as the titular Kikikomi Senshi Shuzaider who banishes the forces of ignorance with his fact-finding and observation skills.

Alongside Miyano, “Kikikomi Senshi Shuzaider” will feature actors Ryūsei Nakao (Rainian Agent Abrella from Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger (Special Police Squadron Dekaranger)) as the voice of Wakaran, an evil monster that plagues people’s minds with questions and doubt; and Yoji Tanaka (Fukugawa Sainosuke from Hana Moyu) as Professor Knowledge who is Shuzaider’s inventor.

Moreover, legendary singer Ichirou Mizuki (Voicelugger Gold from Voicelugger) will perform the theme song for the special episode.
