Joining him will be the newly cast Kazuki Namioka (Sid/Kamen Rider Sigurd from Kamen Rider Gaim) as Mob’s master Arataka Reigen, and Nogizaka46 member Yūki Yoda as Mob’s childhood friend and crush Tsubomi Takane.

The live-action drama adaptation of Mob Pschyo 100 is a joint collaboration between Terebi Tokyo and Netflix. It will premiere on Netflix on January 12th, then premiere  on Terebi Tokyo’s “MokuDora 25” time slot on January 18th. Furthermore, BS Japan will air the series on January 23th.

Prolific director Koichi Sakamoto (Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger, Kamen Rider W) is set to helm the drama alongside Koba Fuminori as producer and Reiko Yoshida and Kei Kunii as writers for the scripts. Fuminori commented that there will be “intense psychic ability battle scenes”, using both tokusatsu and VFS effects.

Upon being cast as Mob, Hamada commented:

“It wasn’t clear to me how to portray a minimalist character like Mob, but I was determined to do it and now I’m really excited. There’s an abundant of individual characters surrounding Mob, as we evil spirits, I’m looking forward to what show it will become as we now move into filming!”
