Dairanger’s Shishiranger, Tatsuya Nomi, Passes Away

The actor who portrayed Daigo/Shishiranger in Gosei Sentai Dairanger has passed away.

The death of the actor was revealed via twitter by his brother, who left the following message.

I am Tatsuya Nōmi’s brother, Koichi Tatsuya.
I am afraid I have bad news.
Until now, I have loved my younger brother,  Nōmi and am grateful for him from my heart. Thank you.
Sadly, on late 5/18 evening, he passed away.
He was 47

Tatsuya Nōmi played the serious yet gentle hearted Daigo. Within the series, Daigo was known as the Heavenly Illusion Star. He was the team’s green member, Shishiranger, and second-in-command who often clashed with Ryo, the red RyuuRanger over the best course of action for the team.

Cause of death has yet to be revealed.
