Shin Godzilla to be Released in US Theaters

Funimation has announced the new movie’s US release at San Diego Comic-Con 2016.

Funimation announced today that Shin Godzilla, also known as Godzilla: Resurgence, the first Toho produced Godzilla film in 12 years, will be released in US theaters later this year. The last Godzilla film to release in Japan was Godzilla: Final Wars in 2004. This news comes after the second trailer for the film was posted earlier this week.

Godzilla: Resurgence is written and directed by Hideaki Anno, of Neon Genesis Evangelion fame, and co-directed by Shinji Higuchi, director of the Attack on Titan films. The film comes out on July 29th, 2016 in Japan.
