Garo’s Mika Hijii Announces Marriage

The former GARO actress announced her marriage to start off the new era.

Earlier this week it was revealed that actress Mika Hijii had married someone who was not in the entertainment industry. The marriage was registered on May 1st, which is the first day of new Reiwa era in Japan. According to Hijii, the couple had been dating for about a year, and that they wanted to “cherish the joy of being able to build a relationship in a new way in the beginning of the new generation.”

Hijii started out in tokusatsu as the Orchid Undead in 2004’s Kamen Rider Blade, but is best know for her role as Kaoru Mitsuki in the first two seasons of Garo as well as Red Requiem and Kiba Gaiden. She has also appeared in Alien vs Ninja as well as the live action adaptation of The Girl Who Leapt Through Time and the Ninja franchise.
