Premium Bandai Announces Boonboomger Boonboom Change Axe -MEMORIAL EDITION-

Following the release of the Boonboom Changer -MEMORIAL EDITION- set, Premium Bandai announced the next release in their MEMORIAL EDITION collection series, the Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger Boonboom Change Axe -MEMORIAL EDITION- set from the 48th Super Sentai series, Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger.

The Boonboom Change Axe is an axe weapon powerful enough to crack 30cm thick concrete. Attached is the Boonboom Booster, a Boonboom Changer-like device that functions similarly – if not entirely the same – as the Boonboom Changer. This is the transformation device used by Bun Black and Bun Orange. This version still includes the same three modes as the DX release: Axe Mode, Rod Mode, and Handle Mode. It is 145% larger than the DX version, allowing for a more accurate size to the TV series.

To transform into Bun Black or Bun Orange, the Boonboom Booster attached to the main body needs to be separated. Then, the user needs to press the pedal multiple times and press the button at the bottom of the item to finish the transformation. In addition, the Boonboom Booster features character lines coming from Jou Akuse/Bun Black (portrayed by Ryu Saito) and Genba Bureki/Bun Orange (portrayed by Satoru Soma). Simultaneous transformation sounds of all six Boonboomgers can be played as well as Bundorio’s lines from when the Boonboom Car takes off. Lines from Taiya Hando/Bun Red (portrayed by Haruhi Iuchi), Ishiro Meita/Bun Blue (portrayed by Yuki Hayama), Mira Shifuto/Bun Pink (portrayed by Miu Suzuki), Bundorio Bunderas (voiced by Rica Matsumoto), and Sakito Homura/Bun Violet (portrayed by Yu Miyazawa) will be included.

The BGM includes two songs, “Be the hero you want to be” and “Get your mood going!”, are included for a highly immersive roleplay. When the Boonboom Booster is attached to the Boonboom Change Axe, the item can also play special move lines that are not available in the DX toy, which includes the special move sounds for Champion Bun Black and Champion Bun Orange, and the combined sounds of each Boonboomger Robo form. Lastly, this version can still recognize the previously released DX Boonboom Cars, thus allowing the user to recreate the launch sequences seen in the series, and even enjoy the combination sequences corresponding to each Boonboom Car.

The Boonboom Booster included with this product can be attached to the brace parts included with the DX Boonboom Changer and Boonboom Changer -MEMORIAL EDITION-, as well as the DX Boonboom Handle, DX Boonboom Change Axe, DX Zoonzoom Shouka Blaster”, DX Boonboomger Robo, and DX Boonboom Killer Robo.
