The trailer showcases the return of the main Gridman Alliance trio and SSSS.Dynazenon‘s Yomogi Asanaka, Yume Minami, and Chise Asukagawa. The old computer used to house Gridman in the 2018 anime, Junk, is heavily featured. The audience also gets a look at the returning Gridman and Dyna Dragon.

SSSS.Gridman follows the story of Yuta Hibiki and his friends when giant monsters called kaiju begin appearing and destroying the city. The mysterious hero, Gridman, speaks to Yuta through an old computer, and they combine to grow giant and fight the kaiju. It’s up to the Gridman Alliance to save the day, solve the mystery of where these kaiju are coming from, and figure out why civilians always forget what happened the next day.
SSSS.Dynazenon is the original anime’s follow-up in which a team of Kaiju Eugenicists arrive and take control of kaiju. To fight back, a man named Gauma recruits a group comprised of students, a delinquent girl, and a young adult to take control of the mecha that combine into the giant fighting robot, Dynazenon. Together, the team works to save the world and overcome their personal baggage.
Gridman Universe brings together the cast of both shows and will hit Japanese theaters on March 24th, 2023.
