Gridknight Fight Tokusatsu Trailer Released

This tokusatsu mini series will release with each SSSS.Dynazenon Blu-ray/DVD.


A new tokusatsu mini series called Gridknight Fight has been announced as a bonus feature on the upcoming SSSS.Dynazenon Blu-ray and DVD releases. A trailer has been released and can be viewed below.

Gridknight is a prominent character from Studio Trigger’s SSSS.Gridman anime based on the 1993 tokusatsu, Gridman The Hyper Agent. The anime’s sequel, SSSS.Dynazenon, also features Gridknight fighting alongside the titular mecha, Dynazenon.

Gridknight Fight will feature voice actors from the anime including Kenichi Suzumura (Gridknight), Tetsu Inada (Alexis Kerib), and Karin Takahashi (Anosillus the 2nd). Hiroshi Kamiya will provide the voice for the narrator.

The series is directed and written by Yuuichi Abe with planning by Akira Amemiya. It’s being produced by Tsuburaya Productions in collaboration with Studio Trigger.

One episode will release with each of the four SSSS.Dynazenon Blu-ray/DVDs on the dates listed below.

Episode 1: June 16th

Episode 2: July 21st

Episode 3: September 15th

Episode 4: October 20th

In addition to Gridknight Fight, certain DVDs and Blu-rays will come with special recolor variants of Gridknight and Dyna Soldier.

SSSS.Dynazenon follows high school student Yomogi Asanaka after he meets a mysterious man named Gauma. When a group called the Kaiju Eugenicists appear and cause havoc with giant monsters called kaiju, Gauma and Yomogi team up with fellow high school student Yume Minami and 33-year-old NEET Koyomi Yamanaka in order to combine mecha and form the titular Dynazenon. Together, the protect the world from dangerous kaiju.

SSSS.Dynazenon is currently streaming new episodes weekly on Funimation in North America.
