Following the film’s international premiere, Shin Ultraman is confirmed to release across 37 countries.
Releasing across 401 cinemas nationwide in Japan, Tsuburaya Productions’ Shin Ultraman has been a big hit. In less than 90 days the film has been seen by over 29 million viewers; grossing over 43.8 billion yen. Recently, the film made its international premiere in July at the Fantasia Film Festival in Montreal, Canada. This was followed up two days later by being shown as part of the New York Asian Film Festival. Both of which were hugely successful, each filling up their cinema capacity.
Now, the film is set to be released internationally across a wide range of countries. Starting on September 1 in Singapore, Shin Ultraman will be screening across 37 countries across Asia, the Middle East and Africa. The full list of countries includes:
- Sri Lanka
- Hong Kong
- The Philippines
- Saudi Arabia
- United Arab Emirates
- South Africa
Plans are confirmed for the film to be released in Europe, North America, and South America. However, no mention has been made of the Oceania region. In Japan, Shin Ultraman is still showing across numerous theatres.
