Kamen Rider W’s Masaki Suda Tests Positive for COVID-19

 

Following the results of a PCR test on March 23, Kamen Rider W co-lead Masaki Suda tests positive for COVID-19.


On March 24, Kamen Rider W co-lead Masaki Suda is confirmed to have tested positive for COVID-19 via his agency TopCoat.

His agency’s statement is as follows:

“One of our artists, Masaki Suda, is confirmed to have tested positive for COVID-19.

On Wednesday, March 23, as the result of our routine morning PCR test, he was found to have tested positive that very evening. He currently exhibits mild symptoms and will follow instructions as given by the medical and administrative institutions. Appropriate medical care and observation will be conducted.

To ensure the safety of our artists and everyone else involved, we will continue to take the utmost precaution in preventing the spread of COVID-19.”

As a result of this development, the final episode of Suda’s radio show “Masaki Suda’s All Night Nippon,” scheduled for March 28, will be postponed until April 4. In its place will be a special program hosted by Tori Matsuzaka titled “Tori Matsuzaka’s All Night Nippon”. (Tori Matsuzaka may be recognized for his role as Takeru Shiba / Shinken Red in 2009-2010’s Samurai Sentai Shinkenger.)

Suda’s wife Nana Komatsu was also confirmed to have tested positive with COVID-19 the same day. The two have been married since November 2021.
