Tsuburaya Productions Releases DVD of Hideaki Anno’s Favourite Episodes

Tsuburaya Productions has released a DVD set containing a selection of episodes from 14 of the company’s TV series. All episodes are hand-picked by writer Hideaki Anno (Shin Ultraman)

Celebrating the recent opening of the Hideaki Anno Exhibition, Tsuburaya Productions has rereleased a special DVD titled the “Tsuburaya Special Technology Research Institute.” Originally, it was produced to coincide with Hideaki Anno’s Tokusatsu Museum. Held at the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo from July to October of 2012. This new release offers consumers the opportunity to experience and enjoy the favourite works of writer Hideaki Anno and director Shinji Higuchi before the release of Shin Ultraman.

The DVD contains a selection of the best episodes from 14 of Tsuburaya Productions TV series, chosen by Hideaki Anno. Additionally, a bonus 10 episodes of Ultra Fight have been selected by Shinji Higuchi for inclusion in the set.

The Tsuburaya Special Technology Research Institute DVD was released to the Hideaki Anno Exhibition and Tsuburaya Store on November 1, 2021, retailing at 7,000 yen (excluding tax).
