The free online convention Kaiju Masterclass returns for another 3-day event from November 5-7.
Bringing together the creators and scholars of Japanese sci-fi cinema and tv for three days of informative, in-depth conversations, Kaiju Masterclass returns. Kaiju Masterclass II will be held from November 5 to 7. It will feature interviews and panels discussing the history of Japanese sci-fi, the filmmaking process, the art of film scoring, and more. All of these sessions will be streamed to the Kaiju Masterclass Youtube channel and are free to the entire online community.
These panels will include interviews with various creatives and scholars including writer/director Kazuki Omori (Godzilla vs. Biollante, Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah), suit actor Tsutomu Kitagawa (Rebirth of Mothra III, Godzilla 2000), composer Reijiro Koruko (The Return of Godzilla), and numerous others.
Kaiju Masterclass II is created by a dedicated team of genre authorities and enthusiasts, including Steve Ryfle and Ed Godziszewski (Ishiro Honda: A Life in Film), Erik Homenick (akiraifukube.org), John DeSentis (Kaiju Crescendo), Kyle Gilmore (Vintage Reel Productions) and numerous others.
