Seismic Toys will release a new Ultraman Vinyl Odyssey toy line, starting with Jirahs premiering this fall.
Seismic Toys, a soft vinyl toy company, is releasing a new Ultraman-themed line of vinyl figures in conjunction with the 55th anniversary of Ultraman. The Ultraman Vinyl Odyssey vinyl figure line will launch with the kaiju Jirahs, releasing this fall. Two additional figures are being revealed later in the year.
The Jirahs figure is 9 inches tall and will have a mix of metallic and translucent materials to give a glowing effect to the figure. The vinyl is sculpted by Michael Lambert and will include a header card with an illustration by Bill Couture. Each figure in the collection will feature a unique header card by various popular artists.
Seismic Chief Creative Officer Alex Rushdy elaborated on the release of the collection:
“We are incredibly excited to offer brand new, original toys of some of our favorite Ultraman characters from our childhood. We grew up with toys in the ’80s and ’90s that were bright, bold, and unique from what you saw on TV. We are bringing that energy to the world of Ultraman.”
Pre-orders for the Jirahs figure are currently underway ahead of its fall release and are on sale for $129.99 (plus shipping & handling). Each figure in the collection is a limited edition and will not feature re-issues. Fans can pre-order at this link.
