TOHO’s Godzilla: Singular Point will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray in 3 separate volumes. The first releases on August 18.
On May 20th, TOHO announced their latest Kaiju anime Godzilla: Singular Point would be released on DVD and Blu-Ray in Japan. Split into 3 separate releases, volume 1 of Godzilla: Singular Point is scheduled to release on August 18th. The Blu-Ray will feature episodes 1-5 in 1080p High-Definition video. It also includes various bonus features, such as creditless versions of the opening and ending themes, a digital download code for the soundtrack, and a special code to play the 8-Bit promotional game Godzilla Singular Point: Escape!! Radio Wave Monster Rodan! Volumes 2 and 3 of Godzilla: Singular Point are slated for release on September 22nd and October 20th respectively.
The first volume of Godzilla: Singular Point will receive 3 primary releases, a DVD release costing 9,790 yen (tax included), a standard Blu-Ray that costs 10,890 yen (tax included), and a limited edition Blu-Ray release with an exclusive Godzilla Ultima Bandai vinyl for 12,760 yen (tax included).
Furthermore, depending on the retailer consumers buy from, they may also receive store-exclusive bonuses. The Godzilla store offers acrylic stands of the shows’ cast of characters and monsters. Whilst Toho’s animation store offers an A4 tapestry, Amazon Japan provides a B1 cloth poster, Animate will feature an A3 clear poster and can badge, whilst Rakuten offers a set of 5 scene postcards.
Godzilla: Singular Point is currently airing every Thursday on Netflix Japan, TOKYO MX, BS11, and other Japanese television networks. Whilst an international release is slated for June 24th.
