MBS Announces Girl Gun Lady Series
MBS and Bandai announce new action drama Girl Gun Lady with models and weapons for an all-female cast coming this spring.
The first trailer for the new show Girl Gun Lady as well as the official site for the show are now online. Described as a tokusatsu series for adults in a new era, the show will be broadcast on MBS starting on April 6th 2021 at midnight. The show stars Sei Shiraishi, Anna Ishii, Yuno Ohara, Momoka Ito, Natsuki Deguchi, Rio Teramoto, Momoka Ishida, Sakura Ando, and Momoko Tanabe (Neo Ultra Q).
The plot of Girl Gun Lady will follow Koharu, a lonely high school girl whose only hobby is making plastic models. One day on the way home from her all girls school, the store manager of a mysterious antique shop recommends Koharu buy a plastic model of a gun and a figure named Alice. When she wakes up the night after assembling the kits, she finds herself in a school where bullets start flying. Koharu’s Alice figure is now full-sized and hands the model gun to Koharu, telling her the “Girl Gun Fight” battle has begun. The battle is waged between twelve players split up into four teams: Alpha Tango, Bravo Tango, Charlie Tango, and Delta Tango. Each team has a commander that has a plastic model form. Thus begins a spectacular nightmare that Koharu won’t survive without shooting a classmate…
Along with the series, Premium Bandai has begun pre-orders on the arsenal of plastic model weapons the characters in Girl Gun Lady will wield. The base weapon, called the Attack Girl Gun, will retail for 3,080 yen and is set to release in April. Four versions of the Attack Girl Gun will be released for each of the teams and can be further customized with stickers and add-on parts to match with the characters’ weapons on the show. Additionally, there will be the Blast Girl Gun, a rifle styled weapon for 6,380 yen and the pistol sized Change Girl Gun for 4,400 yen, with both scheduled for a June release. All three weapons can combine into an ultimate weapon. Lastly, the Lady Commanders of each team will have their own individual figure kits that can also combine with the weapons and will go on sale for 3,960 yen in May.
