Kamen Rider Build’s Atsuhiro Inukai Stars In Parody BL Drama

Inukai will act as the reluctant protagonist in the upcoming drama, based on a popular manga series.

On February 17, it was announced that Atsuhiro Inukai would be joining the cast of a new BL (Boys Love) live-action drama coming in March to CS TV. The series, Zettai BL ni Naru Sekai Vs Zettai BL ni Naritakunai Otoko (roughly translated as “A World Where Everything Definitely Becomes BL vs. The Man Who Definitely Doesn’t Want To Be In A BL”) is a 2018 comedy manga by Konkichi.

The story follows an average person who realizes his existence as an extra in a BL story and does everything he can to avoid becoming romanced. The unnamed protagonist will be played by Atsuhiro Inukai, known to tokusatsu fans as Kiryu Sento/Kamen Rider Build.

Inukai announced his involvement in the series on his Instagram page.

Other tokusatsu actors involved in the project include Asahi Ito (Kairi Yano/LupinRed) and Akihisa Shiono (Souji Rippukan/KyoryuGreen) playing currently unknown characters.

Inukai discussed his taking on the role by saying, “When I read the character, I was intrigued. I was able to laugh at the script, which means it’s up to me to make it more interesting. I will do my best to take advantage of that while playing this character. Please look forward to it.:

The series will premiere on March 27 on CS TV.
