Ultraman Z Ultra Z Riser Memorial Edition Announced

Following the finale of Ultraman Z, Premium Bandai announced the Ultraman Z Ultra Z Riser Memorial Edition. 


The Z Riser is a transformation item and weapon that appears in Ultraman Z. So far, only four known models existed, with its prominent users being Ultraman Z (shared with Haruki Natsukawa), the Celebro in possession of Shinya Kaburagi and later Director Kuriyama, while Riku Asakura used it as an alternative to transform into Ultraman Geed in place of his Geed Riser. It can also be wielded as a weapon by the Ultras who transform using the device, when used as a weapon, the slots fit by three blank Ultra Medals.

This Memorial Edition of the Ultra Z Riser comes with seven special Ultra Medals and three screen accurate Ultra Access Cards. The Ultra Medals included are: Ultraman Z Alpha Edge, Ultraman Z Beta Smash, Ultraman Z Gamma Future, Ultraman Z Delta Rise Claw, and three Weapon Mode Reproduction Medals.

Since this is the Memorial Edition, it has buttons to play the BGM as well as dialogue recorded by show’s main cast. Pressing the BGM button will play any of the five songs from the series, including the show’s theme song, “Goshōwa Kudasai Ware no Na o!”.

Pressing the dialogue button will play any of the 100 lines coming from eight of the characters from the show. These characters include: Ultraman Z (played by Tasuku Hatanaka), Haruki Natsukawa (played by Kohshu Hirano), Riku Asakura (played by Tatsuomi Hamada), Shinya Kaburagi (played by Rihito Noda), Yoko Nakashima (played by Rima Matsuda), Shota Hebikura (played by Takaya Aoyagi), Yuka Ohta (played by Hikari Kuroki), and Kojiro Inaba (played by Jun Hashizume).

The Ultra Z Riser measures approximately 313 mm width x approximately 208 mm height x approximately 50 mm diameter (when the blade is deployed). Each Ultra Access Card measures approximately 59 mm width x approximately 86 mm height. Each Ultra Medal measures approx. 35 mm width x approx. 35 mm height x approx. 6 mm diameter. The Ultra Z Riser is made of ABS/PC/PVC while each Ultra Access Card is made of paper and each Ultra Medal is made of ABS/MABS. This is a Premium Bandai web exclusive set.

The Ultraman Z Ultra Z Riser Memorial Edition from Ultraman Z will go for 9,350 Yen (tax included) and is scheduled for shipment in May 2021. Preorders are being accepted starting until January 29, 2021, at 23:00 JST.
