GARO’s Kouya Matsudai Appeared in NHK Drama Yell

Kouya Matsudai, known for playing the protagonist in GARO: Versus Road, appeared in episode 106 of the NHK Drama Yell. 


In Yell, He portrayed the grown up version of Ken, the adopted son of Gin (played by Rena Matsui) and Tomohiko.

Previously, tokusatsu actors Asahi Ito who portrayed Kairi from Lupinranger vs Patranger, and Hayate Ichinose from Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger also were featured in the drama.

Yell is the 102nd Asadora series broadcasted on NHK that takes place in the early 1900s. The story is about a young Yuichi Koyama who grows up to become a famous composer. The drama is a fictional retelling of Yuji Koseki, who composed many well known music in Japan such as the baseball team Hanshin Tiger’s Rokko Oroshi in 1936.

The drama stars Masataka Kubota who portrayed Kaneki in the live action adaptation of Tokyo Ghoul and its sequel Tokyo Ghoul S.
