Legendary Tokusatsu Producer Susumu Yoshikawa Passes Away

The producer who played a vital role in the creation of Super Sentai passed away earlier this month.

Susumu Yoshikawa, who produced various tokusatsu programs for Toei, including Himitsu Sentai Goranger, and Space Sheriff Gavan, passed away on July 10th due to respiratory failure in Kamakura City. He was 84 years old.

Yoshikawa was known for having worked on a great number of tokusatsu series that spawned franchises which have continued through various decades, including Super Sentai, Android Kikaider, and the Metal Hero programs.
