Tsuburaya has confirmed the passing of the main writer on its latest series, Ultraman Z.

Tsuburaya confirmed earlier today that Kota Fukihara, credited as one of the main writers on Ultraman Z, passed away on May 17th from a brain hemorrhage at age 37.

It is not confirmed how many episodes the writer had penned of the upcoming series, however, Tsuburaya has said the “staff will continue to strive to create an amazing final product for the series to which he gave all his spirit,” in a post today. Fukihara is best known for his work on the live-action series Final Fantasy XIV: Dad of Light, which stars Goseiger cast member Yudai Chiba.
