Summary of Zi-O SG Watcher: Vol.9

Bandai’s candy toy blog posted a new entry for Kamen Rider Zi-O, talking about a surprising new addition to its SO-DO line.

The man in charge of candy toy development goes by D, and in honor of Zi-O, he has changed his usual nickname to Di-O.

“ArmorTime: Advent! Ryuki!”

Di-O focuses on a single unprecedented reveal: RyukiArmor, based on Kamen Rider Ryuki. This is an armor set used with the Armor Changing Kamen Rider Zi-O body, which will be included in this wave.

“Now, speaking of the SO-DO series?? It’s an overwhelming collection!! In SO-DO Kamen Rider Zi-O, we inherited the soul of the SO-DO series thus far, and we are planning and developing to fully realize three-dimensional forms that appeared in the story, and do more!”

For those unaware, there are several DX RideWatches which feature artwork of Rider Armors that have not been seen anywhere else – Di-O also adds that they cannot confirm whether they will appear in the show. However, designs do exist, and they don’t appear to be off limits to SO-DO.

In the Ryuki series, a distinct characteristic to the designs is having the compound eyes hidden behind an iron mask. This is carried over to RyukiArmor helmet visor, with the Ryuki name placed behind the mask. The shoulder armor is also made to resemble the Dragvisor, Ryuki’s card reader.

Di-O also notes that this does not come with any accessories relevant to Ryuki, such as his Dragvisor or Dragsaber.

As usual, a dedicated display stand is included with the RyukiArmor set. Also included is the Jikan Girade (Inserted RideWatch Ver.) – as the name implies, it is a retool of Zi-O’s sword, with a RideWatch molded into its empty slot. This offers an additional level of display option for collectors of the line.

“And, the fact that Ryuki comes out…? Please look forward to future developments…!

That’s it for today’s update, next update will be on Sunday, October 20th! I might be able to tell you surprising new information, so look forward to it!”
