Haruma Miura and Masataka Kubota join the cast of the live action Gintama sequel.
On June 21st, it was revealed on the official website for Gintama 2: Okite wa Yaburu tame ni koso Aru (The Rule is surely there to be broken) that two main characters were added to the Gintama sequel, which stars Kamen Rider W‘s Masaki Suda. Harumi Miura (Eren Yeager in the Attack on Titan live-action films) will perform as Shinsengumi’s advisor Kamotrao Ito, while, Masataka Kubota (Light Yagami in the Death Note TV drama) will portray the strong swordsman, Bansai Kawakami.
In the previous Gintama live action, Kamen Rider Fourze actor Ryo Yoshizawa (Kamen Rider Meteor) starred in the cast as Sougo Okita, and Tsuyoshi Muro (Hiroyuki Yamaga in Aoi Honoo) portrayed Gengai Hiraga. It is expected for them to reprise their roles for the sequel, but is currently unannounced.
The movie is expected to debut on August 17, 2018.
