A new trailer for Godzilla: City on the Edge of Battle has been released in time for the full movie’s theatrical release.

The second entry in the Godzilla CGI anime movie trilogy, Godzilla: City on the Edge of Battle from TOHO Animation and Polygon Pictures released in Japanese theaters on May 18th. The official website for this new Godzilla trilogy released a new visual featuring nine character posters just prior to the new film’s release. Alongside the film, a brand new trailer has been revealed to promote the film. The new trailer can be viewed below.

Godzilla: City on the Edge of Battle tells the story of a group of humans returning to Earth after what they perceive as 20 years’ time to defeat Godzilla. After discovering that 20,000 years have passed on Earth and defeating Godzilla, a new monster emerges called Godzilla Earth. The key to defeating Godzilla Earth lies with the descendants of the human race known as the Hontua and with the classic Mechagodzilla.

Godzilla: City on the Edge of Battle is now playing in movie theaters in Japan.
