Title and release date for the final film of the Godzilla anime film trilogy project are announced alongside a new visual.
On May 28th, the official website for the 3DCG animated Godzilla film trilogy project revealed the title for the final film of the trilogy. The title was revealed as Godzilla: Hoshi wo Kū Mono (Godzilla: Stareater), and was revealed alongside a visual that unveils the film’s release date and teases a certain iconic kaijū’s inclusion.
Godzilla: Stareater is set to open in November, 2018. Furthermore, the visual showcases three golden serpentine heads that are eerily similar to Godzilla’s legendary rival King Ghidorah; who first made a film appearance in Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster (1964).

Kobun Shizuno (Detective Conan: The Darkest Nightmare, Fist of the North Star: The Legend of Kenshirō ) and Hiroyuki Seshita (Ajin, Knights of Sidonia) are helming the film trilogy, with Gen Urobuchi (Kamen Rider Gaim) writing the script. Additionally, Polygon Pictures and Toho Animation are handling the animation.
