Ozinefest 2017 Hosts Tokusatsu Musical Guests, Mitsuko Horie & Takayuki Miyauchi

Mitsuko Horie and Takayuki Miyauchi will be guest performances on April 8th, 2017 at Ozinefest 2017.

Last spring’s Toku Spirits teams up with Ozinefest for the latter’s 2017 event held from April 7th through April 9th 2017 at SM Megatrade Halls, Mandaluyong City, Philippines.

Through TokuSpirits, this year’s Ozinefest will feature tokusatsu musical icons, Mitsuko Horie and Takayuki Miyauchi.

Mitsuko Horie is a Japanese voice actress and singer, who’s best known for her work in many popular tokusatsu and anime shows during the 1990s.

Her list of works include: Beron in the Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger: The Flying Ghost Ship, Remi in Remi, Judy Abbot in My Daddy Long Legs, Polaris Hilda in Saint Seiya, and Upa in Dragonball.

Mitsuko is most notable as the singer of  Voltes V‘s opening song “Voltes V no Uta” in 1976 and Sailor Moon Crystal’s opening, “New Moon ni Koishite” in 2016.

Japanese vocalist, Takayuki Miyauchi, is best known for singing the themes to various  Choudenshi Bioman, Kamen Rider RX, Super Rescue Solbrain, and Special Rescue Exceedraft.

Ozinefest is an annual anime convention organized by the editorial committee of Otakuzine Anime Magazine, a local anime magazine published in the Philippines by PSICOM Publishing, Inc. The event features mainstream activities such as cosplay competition, exhibition booths, band tournament and art contests.

TokuSpirits was a charity event held back in March of 2016 and helmed by Georgette Anne Inaba, wife of Hikari Sentai Maskman’s Kazunori Inaba.

A long time fan of Tokusatsu series. My favorites are Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, GARO, Godzilla, and Ultraman.
