Takashi Hagino returns as Kamen Rider Ouja in Upcoming Kamen Rider Brave Spin Off
Takashi Hagino will reprise his role as Takeshi Asakura/Kamen Rider Ouja after fifteen years in the upcoming Kamen Rider Brave spin off, Kamen Rider Brave: Survive! Resurrection Beast Rider Squad!
Toei has recently announced a spin-off for Kamen Rider Brave/Hiiro Kagami(portrayed by Toshiki Seto), secondary Kamen Rider of the Kamen Rider Ex-Aid series. The spin off will stream on the Toei Tokusatsu Fan Club app (available only in Japan). This spin-off will highlight the resurrection of Takeshi Asakura/Kamen Rider Ouja, who originally appeared as an antagonist in the 2002-2003 Kamen Rider Ryuki series. Takeshi Asakura gained popularity due to his unrelenting brutality among the Heisei Kamen Riders. He wears his familiar snakeskin jacket and his brutal, violent ways still remain.
In this spin-off, Kamen Rider Sasword (of the Kamen Rider Kabuto series), Kamen Rider Dark Kiva (of the Kamen Rider Kiva series), Kamen Rider Beast (of the Kamen Rider Wizard), and Kamen Rider Tiger(of the Kamen Rider Ryuki series) have joined Ouja and formed the “Beast Rider Squad”. With the power of a new Rider Gashat, Knight of Safari, a new form of Brave will debut.
Kamen Rider Brave: Survive! Resurrection Beast Rider Squad! will begin on February 19, 2017, on the TTFC app. Though the app has a monthly fee of ¥960, the first seven minutes will be available for free. The spin off is directed by Suzumura Nobuhiro (No Continue Kid: Bokura no Game Shi) and Takeshi Miyazaki, who has worked on various Super Sentai and Kamen Rider series, will serve as action director.
