Tatsunoko has begun streaming a short teaser for their upcoming 2017 tokusatsu hero film, Hurricane Polymar.
The video shows Junpei Mizobata in costume as the classic anime hero brought to life.
The story follows street fighter turned detective Takeshi Yoroi, played by Junpei Mizobata, who uses his martial arts skills to transform into Hurricane Polymar and fight evil. In preparation for the role, Mizobata underwent four months of intense martial arts training.
The cast includes Mikie Hara (Cutie Honey the Live, Kamen Rider Fourze) as Yamada Hideki, a woman looking into a case connected to Yoroi, Yuki Yamada (Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger) as Joe Kuruma, Yoroi’s assistant, and Yurina Yanagi as Teru Nanba.
Koichi Sakamoto (Kamen Rider Fourze, Ultra Galaxy the Movie, Kamen Rider W Forever: A to Z, Gaia Memories of Fate) directed the movie and Onishi Shinsuke (Tomica Hero Rescue Force, Gatchaman Crowds) was signed on as the script writer.
