High Proportion Collection Byakkoshinken Announced
Premium Bandai revealed the first premium entry into the High Proportion Collection, the Byakkoshinken from Gosei Sentai Dairanger.
The High Proportion Collection is a line of highly detailed gashapon toys that take your favorite weapons and transformation devices from Kamen Rider and Super Sentai and brings them into a small scale display.
The first Super Sentai releases hit gashapon machines in March, 2016 and included the Dinobuckler, Dragonbuckler, and Zyusouken. Premium Bandai has decided to give the line a premium touch with the High Proportion Collection EX Series of toys.
Byakkoshinken originated in Gosei Sentai Dairanger, but many western tokusatsu fans will recognize the design as Saba, the main weapon of the White Ranger from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
This small replica of Byakkoshinken measures 180mm from tip to tip, but is packed with an incredible amount of detail that even rivals the Legacy Saba released by Bandai America in which this small scale toy was based on. Like the larger scale toys, the blade can slide into the base of the sword to create a smaller, sheathed look.
Much like the Legacy items from Bandai America mimicking the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers boxes of 1993, the box Byakkoshinken is packed in takes design elements and presentation style from the original Byakkoshinken box released during Gosei Sentai Dairanger in 1993.
Preorders for the item have already begun and will conclude at an unannounced date.
You can get your very own HPC Byakkoshinken for ¥2,160 before middleman fees and shipping in December, 2016.
