This Week in Toku Toys [4/17 to 4/23]

This Week in Toku Toys, Kamen Rider Deep Specter arrives with a whole new set of gear, while the Zyuohger gain a new mole-shaped friend.

Bandai Retail

While the past few weeks have been pretty quiet, Bandai is back this week in full force thanks to the arrival of Kamen Rider Deep Specter in this week’s Kamen Rider Ghost episode. Of course, to become Deep Specter, you’ll need the DX Deep Specter Ghost Eyecon. The newest Ghost Eyecon is similar to the Toucon Boost Ghost Eyecon in that it features a whole new design that includes lights and sounds. The Deep Specter Ghost Eyecon will retail for ¥2,160. Releasing alongside the Ghost Eyecon is the Rider Hero Series vinyl figure release of Kamen Rider Deep Specter for ¥972.

While Cube Mogura already made its debut two weeks ago in Dobutsu Sentai Zyuohger, last week’s arrival of Wild Zyuoh King in the series gives the clearance for this little cube to finally be released on store shelves. Cube Mogura can transform from cube to mole to a drill weapon that can be wielded by Zyuoh King or Zyuoh Wild. With all six main Zyuoh Cubes as well as Cube Kirin and Cube Mogura, fans can now create Wild Zyuoh King! Cube Mogura will release for only ¥972.

It’s been a while since our last Ultraman related release, but the series is back with Ultra Hero Transformation Item Set 2. Like the first before it, the set includes four transformation items seen throughout the Ultraman franchise. Included in this set is Ulraman Ginga’s Fusion Brace, Ultraman Mebius’s Mebius Brace, Ultraman Max’s Max Spark, and Ultraman Cosmos’s Cosmo Pluck. The Fusion Brace includes a small amount of basic sounds, while the Mebius Brace includes one LED light. The four piece set will hit retail for ¥3,780.

Bandai Candy Toy

While some stores received stock as early as last weekend, this week marks the official release of Dobutsu Sentai Zyuohger‘s second Minipla series! This series of candy toy building kits include five boxes in total. Two boxes create Cube Gorilla, one box creates Cube Elephant, one box creates Cube Tiger, while the other box creates Cube Mogura. Together they can unite to form Zyuoh Wild 6-5-4! This series can also combine with the first to form the minipla version of Wild Zyuoh King! Individual boxes will hit store shelves for ¥350 each.
