The Power Rangers movie is having a busy week, announcing its third cast member in four days. The newest star, RJ Cyler, will take up the mantle of the Blue Ranger in the upcoming film. Cyler previously starred in 2015’s Me and Earl and the Dying Girl, and will be in Vice Principals, an HBO miniseries, next year. Cyler joins Red Ranger Dacre Montgomery, Black Ranger Ludi Lin, and Pink Ranger Naomi Scott.
The Power Rangers film is currently being produced by Haim Saban, Brian Cassentini (of Saban Brands), and Allison Shearmur (Cinderella), with a script being written by X-Men: First Class and Thor writers Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz. The film is being directed by The Almanac director Dean Isrealite.
