The third spot in the upcoming Power Rangers movie has been filled.
Hot on the heels of the last announcement, the official Power Rangers Instagram released another image revealing the next star of their upcoming film. Relative newcomer Ludi Lin has been cast as the Black Ranger. Lin has a few short films to his credit, as well as a role in the Netflix original Marco Polo, and a part in the Chinese film Monster Hunt. Ludi Lin joins Dacre Montgomery and Naomi Scott, the Red and Pink Rangers.
The Power Rangers film is currently being produced by Haim Saban, Brian Cassentini (of Saban Brands), and Allison Shearmur (Cinderella), with a script being written by X-Men: First Class and Thor writers Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz. The film is being directed by The Almanac director Dean Isrealite.
Power Rangers is set to release on January 13, 2017.
