original

Shout! Factory TV recently uploaded the original Ultraman to their streaming service.

Ultraman, released in 1966, is the second show in the Ultra Series, following Ultra Q, and the first to feature an Ultraman. The story follows the titular hero and his human host, Shin Hayata, as they along with the Science Patrol defend Earth from various scheming aliens and rampaging kaiju.

Shout! already uploaded Ultra Q and Ultraseven earlier this year, and Ultraman was available on Hulu. But now the first three shows in the Ultra Series are collected in one place on Shout! Factory TV for free. In addition to Shout! TV, Crunchyroll streams Leo, 80, Max, and Mebiusas well as the current series Ultraman Xthe first tokusatsu to be simulcasted.
